The Rotary District 9214 Membership Team held a highly engaging Regional Membership Training in Masaka, bringing together club leaders, membership directors, and engagement champions from across the region.

The interactive session focused on practical ways to recruit, engage, and retain members — three pillars of Rotary’s growth and sustainability. Participants were split into three groups, each tasked with identifying challenges and proposing innovative strategies to strengthen membership within their respective clubs.

The group presentations sparked insightful discussions as members shared success stories, creative engagement models, and lessons learned from their clubs. The collaborative approach fostered teamwork and a deeper understanding of how every Rotarian can play a role in building stronger, more vibrant clubs.

In attendance were District Membership Chair, District Learning Team Leader, Membership Country Chair, PAG Martin, several Assistant Presidents (APs), President-Elects (PEs), and Membership Directors from clubs in the Masaka region. Their collective experience and mentorship added great value to the day’s learning.

Speaking during the training, facilitators emphasized the importance of intentional engagement, mentorship of new members, and creating meaningful Rotary experiences that inspire commitment and retention.

The Masaka Regional Membership Team Training reaffirmed the district’s commitment to growing Rotary the right way — through friendship, purpose, and service.
