During his interaction with the Rotary Peace Fellows, the RI President expressed deep admiration for the innovative and transformative work being undertaken.
“I have witnessed incredible projects from the Rotary Peace Fellows — diverse, innovative ideas blending arts and creativity to champion peacebuilding. Truly impressed by how they are spreading the message far and wide.”
The visit showcased Rotary’s unwavering commitment to peacebuilding through education, creativity, and sustainable community engagement.
A Historic Night for The Rotary Foundation
The day culminated in a glamorous Rotary Foundation Dinner at Speke Resort Munyonyo, attended by RIDE Emmanuel Katongole, RTN Katumba Wamala (D9213), PDG Robert Wagwa Nsibirwa, and graced by the Guest of Honor, Charles Peter Mayiga, the Katikkiro of Buganda.

In a defining moment of the evening, District 9214 officially handed over a cheque of USD 1,000,000 to the RI President, marking an extraordinary milestone in Foundation giving. This achievement — reached in less than nine months of the Rotary year — reflects the district’s deep culture of generosity and commitment to Rotary’s mission.
From first-time Paul Harris Fellows to Major Donors, the evening celebrated individuals whose selfless contributions continue to transform communities across Uganda and beyond. With elegance, entertainment, and heartfelt appreciation, the night honored the givers who make Rotary’s impact possible.

It was more than a dinner — it was a bold declaration that District 9214 is leading from the front in advancing The Rotary Foundation and strengthening Rotary’s global impact.
