Francesco Arezzo has today arrived at Kawempe National Referral Hospital to officially launch the transformative Oxygen as a Service Project, a major milestone in advancing maternal and child healthcare in Uganda.
The launch ceremony is graced by the Minister of Health, Jane Ruth Aceng, whose presence underscores the strong partnership between Rotary and government in strengthening Uganda’s health systems.

This innovative project is designed to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply of medical oxygen, a critical component in emergency and neonatal care. By introducing Oxygen as a Service, Rotary is helping to bridge gaps in access to lifesaving support for mothers and newborns who depend on timely intervention.
The visit marks a significant moment during the Rotary International President’s time in Uganda, highlighting the tangible impact Rotary continues to create through strategic partnerships and community-driven solutions.
Indeed, this launch represents more than infrastructure — it is a bold commitment to saving lives and giving every mother and child a better chance at survival.
